Buckwheat
Fagopyrum unites three species: cultivated or common buckwheat - F. esculentum Moench (2n-16), Tatar buckwheat - F. tataricum and shrub buckwheat - F. suffruticosum F. Schmidt.
Common buckwheat (2n-16) is of economic value. Tatar buckwheat occurs in cultivated crops as a malicious weed; the shrubby buckwheat is a perennial endemic plant of Sakhalin. Common buckwheat is divided into two subspecies: sowing buckwheat (vulgare St.) and multifolium St. Buckwheat varieties grown in Ukraine belong to the subspecies vulgare St.

The technological grade is adapted for mechanized harvesting.
Antaria is resistant to lodging, shedding, and is not susceptible to diseases and pests.
Grain quality characteristics: cereal yield - 75-76%, levelness - 88-90%. Antaria buckwheat grain contains 16% protein.

It is suitable for cultivation in a flower and honey conveyor when sown from late April to mid-July.
The plant is compact, 75-78 cm high. It is well visited by bees.
In the Steppe, at the Novo Odesa variety site in Mykolaiv region, the yield was 49.0 c/ha in 2001.

The variety is high-yielding. The maximum yield of 4.97 t/ha was obtained in 2003.
The average growing season is 83-95 days, ripens at the same time as the Dikul variety or 1-2 days later. It is characterized by a variety of colors and ripening.
It has increased resistance to early cold, high temperature and drought.

Resistant to shedding, lodging, drought resistance is high.
It is one of the most valuable varieties in terms of grain quality. Highly productive.
Plants are 85-90 cm tall, well-leaved, branched, inflorescence is formed by a raceme, mostly single, but also double and ternary. The leaves are wide, the shoots have an anthocyanin color.
